Maya had been planning her best friend Sarah's surprise engagement party for weeks. Everything was going perfectly until her younger brother accidentally let the secret slip at a family dinner. "I can't believe you decided to spill the beans!" Maya groaned, knowing Sarah's boyfriend would hear about it. Now she was in hot water with Sarah, who had specifically asked her to keep everything quiet. Despite the mishap, the party went ahead as planned. When Sarah saw all her friends gathered together, she was on cloud nine with happiness. Her boyfriend had actually known about the surprise all along and had been playing along perfectly. "You need to take it easy and stop worrying so much," Sarah laughed, hugging Maya tightly. Maya realized she had been stressed for nothing. The venue looked absolutely beautiful, even though the decorations had cost an arm and a leg. Sarah's parents had insisted on paying for the expensive flowers and catering. Throughout the evening, Maya watched how well Sarah seemed to get along with her future mother-in-law, chatting and laughing together like old friends. The two women shared stories and bonded over their love of gardening. As the party wound down, Maya felt relieved that everything had worked out despite her brother's mistake. Sometimes the best celebrations happen when plans don't go exactly as expected, she thought to herself.
