Maya planned her photography show for many months. Then something bad happened. Her expensive camera fell from the table. It broke into many pieces. This was only two weeks before her show opened. Maya felt very sad. She did not know how to come up with money for a new camera so fast. Her friend Jake called her. He wanted to check her work. "Hold on, let me think," he said. Maya told him about her broken camera. "Maybe you can pick up an old film camera," Jake said. "There is a vintage shop downtown." Maya was not sure about this idea. But Jake told her to keep her chin up. He said she should stay positive. Maya decided to set up a visit to the shop. She went there the next morning. The old shop owner was very nice. He showed her a beautiful camera from the 1960s. It did not cost much money. Maya started to use film photography. She found a new art style. Her black and white photos looked very special. They looked old but beautiful. Her exhibition was very successful. It was the best show the gallery ever had. Art critics loved her "vintage style." Many people wanted to buy her photos. Later, Maya understood something important. Breaking her digital camera was a blessing in disguise. Sometimes bad things help us find something better.
